I was drawn to mind body practices while studying under TaraMarie at NYU Tisch School of the Arts. She was the first yoga teacher who made my practice feel like an all-encompassing, connective experience rather than just a workout. Students left her class feeling truly affected by the time they spent on their mats. I was also introduced to the idea that our body and mind are one entity - they cannot be separated - and I found that yoga nourished the person as a whole. After studying with TaraMarie, I desperately wanted to learn more about yoga and was inspired to become a teacher myself.
